Sansabury, formerly the capital of the Minarborian Empire, colloquially known as the Shrubbery for its ruined central government complexes. Notable for its intricate and arcane architecture. Presently the seat of government for the State of Lywall, a protectorate of Shireroth, the site of a castrum (fortified cantonment) and aerodrome.

Whilst the Minarborian capital, Sansabury had served as the seat of the Lich Empress and her Necrarchs, and - reputedly - as residence of their deity, Minarbor, Himself. It is situated on a large, shallow mound within a meander of the River Lichovina. It is the eastern terminus of the Lywall, a long system of fortifications extending from the western extremity of the protectorate at Klymhigh. These fortifications were built to protect the landing zone established by the fleeing Shirerithian emigres who first founded the so-called Shrublands. These same walls, re-purposed to repel the unwanted attentions of Tee-als, envelop Sansabury itself in what would be a perfect circle, were it not for not-insignificant portions of the wall that have been slighted by aerial bombardments, artillery barrages and the furtive burrowing of certain oversized mammals that have no business existing in this green and pleasant land.

Setting

Sansabury lies a little west of the ruins of the Ashkenatzan city of Mikrashot, which were much pillaged for the contruction of Sansabury although certain features have been preserved as antiquities. The river Lichovina seperates the two areas, linked by a single bridge constructed for easy defensive demolition in the Lichbrookian fashion. A slighly more robust bridge allows access to Sansabury from the south, and the road to the north generally keeps to the west bank of the Lichovina. These three points of access are the only public means to enter Sansabury, and traffic through them is screened to a certain degree by the Lichniks, the Reapers and other watchful authorities.
