The RLM Development League is the second tier rugby league in Mercury, run by Rugby League Mercury. The league involves ten teams. After 18 rounds, the top two clubs play-off against the bottom four clubs from the RLM Super 10 for promotion. The next six clubs then compete in the RLM Development play-offs, and the bottom two clubs face the four best amateur clubs in the RLM Survival play-offs.
History
The Development League was founded in 2013 with six teams, in order to support the formation of the RLM Super 10.
