Provisional Assembly of Delegates

The Provisional Assembly of Delegates (Commonspeak: Forlöfan Asemblë ov Delegieres) was the provisional assembly that convened shortly after Aerla's independence in 1709 AN. It was headed by future President Henry Cassian and comprised a provisional cabinet and a series of delegates that included lawyers, intellectuals, and representatives from the nation's urban and rural populations; including trade union leaders, business owners, and municipal and local officials.
The Assembly met in a variety of temporary venues, eventually settling in the Grand Rex Theater in Noursala. The theater was temporarily reconfigured by its owner to house the body and today, although long configured back into a standard theater, is listed as a National Historic Landmark.
The Provisional Assembly governed Aerla for just under a year, from 16.X.1709 AN until the swearing in of the First National Assembly of Aerla on 10.V.1710 AN.
