William Derrick Alfe (b. 1681 AN) was an Aerlan police official who is currently serving as the Direktar of the State Security Directorate, the nation's top security service.
Much information surrounding Alfe's personal life was shrouded in secrecy, with even the name of "William Alfe" being rumored to be an alias. All that is known about his early career was that served as a police chief in the city of Harriston before Aerla's independence. Alfe was a member of the SSD's predecessor agency, the State Bureau for National Security (SbNS), where he operated under the cover name Bighorn. When the SbNS was reformed into the SSD in 1711 AN, Alfe was appointed its director.
Only one known photo of Alfe is known to the public, the result of a partial 1718 AN leak of his SbNS personnel file. According to said file, he received the scar across the left side of his face from a narcotics sting operation where he was slashed in the face with a knife upon his identity being compromised.
Alfe would retire from his position in the 12th month of 1754 AN after suffering a debilitating stroke. He was succeeded by Augustin Pendergast as Director after a vote in the SSD Council and a successful conformation in the National Assembly.
He would suffer another stroke in 1756 AN, leaving him partially paralyzed. He would die in on 3.V.1757 AN at the University of Noursala Medical Center after suffering a third stroke.
