Cotto Tropical Beverages is a New Alexandrian beverage company headquartered in Hato Rey, Boriquén. Founded in 1717 AN by Christian Cotto, the company is the largest importer and distributor of Dark Berry Islands products in Nouvelle Alexandrie, holding exclusive distribution rights for Dark Berry Ale across Boriquén and the Southern Aldurian Riviera.
Cotto established the company after dropping out of the University of Hato Rey to pursue an import opportunity with a Dark Berrian merchant. The business grew substantially following the Dark Berry Islands civil war, when the post-war government under Sofia Fasthey sought foreign trade partners to rebuild the islands' economy. By 1730 AN, Cotto Tropical Beverages had expanded from fresh fruit imports into alcoholic beverages, launching a line of berry-infused rums and wines. The company's flagship distribution agreement with Dark Berry Ale producers made the brand a staple in coastal tourist destinations across Alduria. When founder Christian Cotto accepted appointment as Ambassador to the Dark Berry Islands in 1744 AN, operational control passed to his eldest son, Christian Cotto Jr., though the elder Cotto retains majority ownership.
