Marguerite Louise Fontaine (born 11.VI.1703 AN) is a New Alexandrian politician, farmer, and environmental activist serving as Governor of South Lyrica since 1750 AN. A third-generation dairy farmer from outside Lausanne, Fontaine rose to prominence as President of the South Lyrica Agricultural Cooperative Union from 1742 AN to 1749 AN, where she championed sustainable farming practices and cooperative economics. Known for her charismatic speaking style and habit of appearing at farmers' markets, town halls, and community events across the region, Fontaine won the 1749 AN gubernatorial election with 60.91% of the vote despite having no prior experience in elected office, running on a platform of agricultural reform, environmental protection, and rural economic revitalization.
