The Cabinet of the Confederate States serves as the principal advisory body to the President of Floria. Cabinet meetings are typically held in a room adjacent to the Presidential Office in the West Wing of the Pink House. While the president presides over these meetings, they are not formally considered a Cabinet member. By law, the Vice President of Floria serves as a member of the Cabinet. The remaining members include the heads of executive departments, who are appointed by the president and confirmed by the Florian Senate. Acting department heads also participate in Cabinet sessions, regardless of whether they have been formally nominated for confirmation. Cabinet secretaries are political appointees who hold full administrative authority over their respective departments. Additionally, the president may grant Cabinet status to the leaders of certain other federal agencies or senior officials within the Executive Office of the President, even if they are not subject to Senate confirmation.

The Cabinet holds no collective executive authority or independent powers, and its meetings do not involve formal voting. It is composed of 26 members: the vice president, 15 department heads, and 10 Cabinet-level officials, with all but three positions requiring Senate confirmation.

During meetings, members are traditionally seated according to the chronological order of their department’s establishment. The oldest departments sit closest to the president, while newer ones are placed farther away. Although the vice president is a member of the Cabinet, they do not exercise authority over its proceedings; all Cabinet officials report directly to the president.
