Operation Shattered Crown was a foiled terrorist plot targeting the coronation of King Sinchi Roca II of Nouvelle Alexandrie in early 1736 AN. The plot, orchestrated jointly by the Confederacy of the Dispossessed and Azad Eura, aimed to disrupt the 1,988.7 km coronation procession and cause mass casualties.
Background
The plot was discovered by the Federal Intelligence Agency (FIA) in the weeks preceding the coronation. It involved sleeper cells in multiple cities along the procession route, including Parap, Ciudad Real, and Cardenas.
Counter-operation
The FIA, working with regional intelligence units, conducted a series of covert operations to neutralize the threat. These operations resulted in the arrest of 237 individuals linked to the plot, the seizure of over 500 tons of explosives, and the confiscation of 1,000 firearms, including long-range sniper rifles. The government kept the counter-operation secret until 18.XIII.1736 AN, when the Department of State released a report detailing the thwarted plot.
