Dateido (Sangunese: 伊達井戸, translit.: Dateido?) is the city of Sanpantul. Dateido is a coastal city northeast of Sanpantul and is one of the seven designated cities. It is the largest city and capital of Dateido prefecture. Owagama County is located in the north and Satoshi County is located in the south. It was founded as a city in 1674 under the name "Satoguho". The city is an important port and industrial city. The significant influence of Date culture is felt in this city. This is also one of the island nation's largest traditional samurai training centres.
