The Government House of Nouvelle Alexandrie, also known as the Presidential Estate of Cárdenas, is the official residence and workplace of the President of the Government of Nouvelle Alexandrie. It is located at the Plaza del Gobierno in the Government Triangle District in Cárdenas. It has been the official residence of the President since 1687 AN when the building was finished. Before that, the President held offices at the Legislative Palace.
The House includes 12 buildings, a bunker, and an infirmary. The Office of the President of the Government, the Office of the Vice-President of the Government, the Council of State, and the Press Office are located in this complex. The weekly meetings of the Council of State are also held at the House.
The House was constructed in 1686 AN as part of the New Prosperity Plan and the Cárdenas Plan to become the official location of the President of the Government. The building was completed in 1687 AN. The site was chosen halfway between the Royal Palace and the Legislative Palace, to allow the President of the Government to travel to both sides with ease. The building exterior is known for its brown brickwork and rectangular windows, as well as its simple front door design. It has only one entrance at the Council Building in the center of the complex. The building was renovated at large in 1706 AN, accommodating new furniture and electronics.
