Canchasto Institute
The Canchasto Institute is a Nouvelle Alexandrian policy institute linked to the Federal Consensus Party. The party is named after diplomat and politician Yuri Allcca Canchasto, co-founder of the FCP. The institute was formed in 1710 AN as the Scientific Institute for Politicology and was renamed in 1726 AN to its current name in honor of co-founded Canchasto.
The Institute resides in Cárdenas, and has the main goal of advancing the ideology of the FCP through regular publication of political scientific research and organising events such as lectures and workshops. Its scientific investigations mainly puts a social, political, or historic subject into a new perspective through a social-liberal narrative. It focuses mostly on major societal challenges in social policy, legislative reform, economics, technology, and military. It regularly advises the party leadership on matters of political strategy and co-writes election manifestos.
It also publishes twice a year the magazine 'Conceptos', which compiles essays and articles written by the institute, and focuses specifically on political culture and social policy.
Organisation
The Institute is divided into two departments:
- Department of Research is responsible for the organisation and dissemination of research through essays, articles, and lectures.
- Department of Programming is responsible for co-creating manifestos and election material on a national, regional, and city level.
The Institute has a Board of Directors with six members and a Chair, appointed by the Party Leadership of the FCP. The current Director is Enrique Portolez, who was appointed in 1723 AN. The current Chair is co-founder Christian Clavier, who was appointed in 1718 AN and re-appointed in 1723 AN.
