The Canchasto Institute is a Nouvelle Alexandrian policy institute linked to the Federal Consensus Party. The party is named after diplomat and politician Yuri Allcca Canchasto, co-founder of the FCP. The institute was formed in 1710 AN as the Scientific Institute for Politicology and was renamed in 1726 AN to its current name in honor of co-founder Canchasto.

The Institute is headquartered in Cárdenas, the cultural and political capital of Nouvelle Alexandrie. Its primary mission is to advance the ideology of the FCP through rigorous political and social research, public engagement, and strategic advisory roles. The institute is widely regarded as a key intellectual hub for the party, shaping its policies and public discourse.

Mission and Objectives

The Institute operates within four core objectives:

  1. Advancing Ideology: The institute serves as the intellectual backbone of the Federal Consensus Party, promoting its social-liberal values through research, publications, and public events.
  2. Policy Research: It conducts in-depth research on societal challenges, focusing on social policy, legislative reform, economics, technology, and military strategy. Its work often reinterprets historical, social, and political issues through a social-liberal lens, offering fresh perspectives on contemporary debates.
  3. Strategic Advisory: The institute provides direct advisory support to the FCP leadership, assisting in the development of political strategies, election manifestos, and policy proposals at national, regional, and municipal levels.
  4. Public Engagement: Through lectures, workshops, and publications, the institute fosters dialogue on critical issues, engaging both policymakers and the general public.

Publications

The Institute publishes the magazine Conceptos three times a year, which compiles essays, articles, and analyses written by its researchers and affiliated scholars. Conceptos focuses on political culture, social policy, economic analysis, and technological & military studies.

In addition to Conceptos, the institute regularly publishes policy briefs, white papers, and research reports, which are widely distributed among policymakers, academics, and the media.
