Operation Sciurusque was a covert plan developed by Shireroth in anticipation of hostile actions from the Benacian Union or its Humanist agents within the Imperial Republic prior to its departure from the Raspur Pact's military structure. The plan was conceived during the waning relationship between Shireroth and its neighbor under the leadership of the First Thuylemans Cabinet. On March 20th, 1724 AN, the operation commenced concurrently with the launch of Operation Jagdbeute.

However, events unfolded sooner than expected, as Shireroth had not initiated its withdrawal from the Pact's military structures at the outset of Operation Jagdbeute. The primary objective of Operation Sciurusque was to safeguard Shirerithian assets, apprehend disloyal forces, and facilitate an organized retreat of Raspurid military personnel.

A key component of Operation Sciurusque was the organization of seven departments to act as a temporary regional command structure for the purposes of organizing and administering military installations and units.
