1715 Aqaba riots

The 1715 Aqaba riots erupted on 20.XIV.1715 AN following a closely contested match between the Raspur Militants and the home side resulted in a surprise defeat for the visitors - an occurrence which stirred the visiting fans and the local Babkhan community into an outburst of xenophobic fury and mob violence directed against the Constancian inhabitants of the city.

Reports from local news sources indicated that the disturbances on the terrace had begun from the moment of the winning goal by the Constancian side, with the sound of gunfire resounding from the Aqaba Sports Coliseum within twenty minutes of the final whistle.
