ESB residence at Manbai
The ESB residence at Manbai was established in 1710 AN under terms of the betrothal of Hakim bin Alsalam and Zahra al-Osman.
The residency of the Honourable Company at Manabi was situated on a promontory close by the main harbour of the city, and comprised of three quays, a Zurvanite temple, a bakery, dormitories and mess halls for the various grades of company employees, commissary stores and warehouses for storing goods. The residency further is enrounded by a palisade and ditch which serves as a barrier against smuggling and unlicenced trading by the Honoured Sons of the Company. Access to the residency is controlled by a stone keep bastion which serves as the customs House, where receipts of cargo loaded and the accounting ledgers are kept.
