The Coastal Patrol Boat was a fast attack craft that entered into widespread service amongst Raspur Pact navies during the latter stages of the Sxiro-Jingdaoese Confrontation, alongside the Logistic Support Vessel, Klimatariá-class missile corvette, and Swift-class off-shore patrol vessel, as part of an urgent effort to close the "tonnage gap" that had opened up between the allied forces and the navies of the USSO; a disparity which became especially noticeable in the aftermath of the indecisive Battle of Carama Bay.

By 1712 AN surviving examples were primarily employed in secondary support roles such as maritime search and rescue, or riverine patrol on the navigable stretches of the River Elwynn.
