Passas is a country located in Southwestern Keltia, in the region known as Pallisica. Passas is a province of the Kingdom of Hamland. It is directly bordered by Alexandrian.

Passas is officially a Theocratic monarchy. It's current king, King Lucien III, is a descendent of King Lucien I, who conquered Passas in the year 4847 ASC. Today, the king primarily oversees the region's central bank, though he also maintains his roles as figure head of the Carol Pallisican religion, supreme legislator, supreme adjudicator of the region's courts, and commander in chief of the regional armed forces. All powers not held by the king are granted to the Passasian Regional Government (PRG), which represents Passas in the Hammish government.

Passas is the leading player in Hamland's economy. Currently the PRG is heavily invested in the SCUE, with investments in each of the major markets. As of 5075 ASC, the nation's leading investment is in the Gralan oil firm, Passian Wells, which exports Passasian oil to the Gralus.

Geography

Passas is located in Southeastern Keltia, east of the Laceran Mountain Range which runs through the middle of the continent. The equator is not far off, running across the south Captive Sea, which means that hot weather and storms are commonplace throughout the nation. Due to the location of the mountains, storms from the sea become trapped over Passas, resulting in a very humid, tropical climate.

Tansportation

Most visitors to Passas at one of three airports. The main airport is in Newvillage, which is also the point of entry for visitors arriving by ship. The other airports are located in Northman and Zidado West.

There are also two main train lines in Passas. The main one is the Trans-National Railroad, which goes through the middle of the nation, from Carol Stream to Zidado West. The other is the Coastal Railroad, which goes from Newvillage, up to Kingsland, then back down to South City.

Famous Attractions

Founders Square, Northman - Founder's Square is located in the heart of Northman, and is one of the most popular destinations for visitors and residents alike. Originally, when Northman was first established, it acted as the town center, literally. Now, it has the highest concentration of people per day in the nation. People come here to explore the historical buildings and shops around the square, and to just mingle.

Kingsland Lighthouse - The Kingsland lighthouse was the first permanent building on the South coast of Passas. It was built to help guide travelers through the Captive Sea, even in the roughest weather. Next to it is the oldest road in the nation, which was used to help immigrants reach Kingsland, the first settlement in Passas. The lighthouse is still in use today, as both a lighthouse and as the Museum of Passasian History.

Cultural Tips

The official language of Passas is Pallisic, so it would be good to learn at least a little bit of the language before arriving.
