How to convert a text into Cisamarrese:

  1. Take a text in Italian
  2. Identify all soft g and c sounds
    1. cia, cio, ciu, cie > cja, cjo, cju, cje (includes double consonants, e.g., ccia > ccja)
    2. gia, gio, giu, gie > gja, gjo, gju, gje (includes double consonants, e.g., ggia > ggja)
  3. Identify all palatalized consonants (gl, gn)
    1. gl > lj
    2. gn > nj
  4. initial i + vowel > j + vowel
    1. e.g., io (I) > jo
