Sanaman Mission to the Green Strip

In response to the aggressive posturing of the nascent Kingdom of Barnum against the Ultimate Sultanate of Sylvania, the Sanaman government in XI.1689 decided to deploy a peacekeeping force to the Green Strip, the area between Sylvania and the territory claimed by Barnum. The force consisted of the units deployed to the International Mandate, properly rotated home and replaced, supplemented with SNS Sanilla, SNS Malliki Tosha and SNS Kaiser Ayreon II. The force established four bases in the Green Strip, with patrol zones. Since the Green is not controlled by any nation, Sanama was not intending to annex, claim or control the area, but simply to provide a security and safety force. The force did not attempt to prevent any nation from entering the area, but rather to act as a stabilising and peacekeeping power.
