Baron Ashura of Zy-Rodun

The Baron Ashura of Zy-Rodun is a title of nobility in the Imperial Peerage of Shireroth created for Ašúra Ilāþriái Danīel Maìaqa in 1670, seven years after after his emigration from Shireroth during the Safir Exodus in 1663. He had previously been Prince of Shireroth as a former Kaiser in his own right (Kaiser Daniel III, 1624–1626)

As a title of baronial degree, the holder is in a unique status of being regarded to be a noble of Shireroth but not a citizen of Shireroth. All other nobles are citizens of Shireroth, and all citizens of Shireroth are nobles of Shireroth. As such, the title was an expression of the Kaiser's gratitude to Lord Ashura of Zy-Rodun's services to the Imperial Republic, allowing him to have noble privilege while visiting Shireroth, yet remain a non-citizen according to his own conscience.
