The flag of Francia

The Flag of Francia or Frankish flag symbolises Francia, the unity and sovereignty of the entire Frankish Empire. The colours red and white are also used in naval flags.

The flag consists of a white hemmed Nordic cross on a red surface, in the ratio of 2:3. At the crossroads the symbol of the Brandenburg eagle is placed in red on a white seal.

History

Amokolian flags

The colours red and white are a recurring theme in the historical flags of Amokolia. The heraldic meaning of these colors are:

  • Red: courage and sacrifice
  • white: fidelity

Frankish flags

As the only and legitimate successor to the Third Kingdom of Amokolia, the Frankish Empire has taken the most recent Amokolian flag as its underlay. The red colour is exactly the same as the flag of the Third Kingdom of Amokolia, which in turn has been taken over from the flag of Victorian Amokolia. The white hemmed cross on the Frankish flag is equal to that of the Amokolian flag, except that the Frankish flag forms a Nordic cross.

The symbol is in the same colours and contains the Brandenburg eagle. Brandenburg is the capital of the revived Amokolia and has the same function in the Frankish Empire.

In addition to the national flag, the Frankish Empire also has naval flags:

  • Naval flag: a white sun and rays on a red surface with the Brandenburg eagle in the middle.
  • Naval pennant: a white hemmed northern cross on a red surface
  • Imperial Naval flag: a white sun and rays on a red surface with the Vinandy seal in the middle
