Synthesis Laboratories, usually just known as Synthesis, is an artificial intelligence development, implementation, and research company based and registered in the Ciric Confederacy, and is a subsidiary company of the Andromeda Tech Corporation, overseen by Andromeda Intelligence. Synthesis Laboratories is responsible for the intelligence development of many robotics systems in manufacturing plants, and is also in the process of testing a personal assistant AI designed to be implemented in homes to control many of the minutiae of typical housing. Synthesis is also employed by programming companies, and is involved in both Andromeda Code and the creation and betterment of Andromeda Redshift.

Synthesis Laboratories is currently in the beta testing phase of its SPECTRA (Special Personal Computerised Trainable Assistant), which is a personal AI assistant designed to be implemented into homes and displays itself through the user's television screen. SPECTRA displays itself through an artificially created human image whose movements were originally mapped to a motion-capture actor, but have since evolved to analyse the movement of its user to be more natural in its appearance. SPECTRA can be commanded through voice or motion commands to control the activity of various devices in the home, which are connected through Synthesis's connective outlet system. SPECTRA can perform actions such as turn on lights, control cooking devices, and control the television on which it is displayed. In order to help it analyse speech, SPECTRA can also be chatted with, and learns from both its user's conversation as well as the conversations of other users through a shared database. Early demonstrations of SPECTRA have resulted in 83% of viewers believing that the interface was an actor, and not a computerised system. SPECTRA is now available for sale as part of its testing phase.

Synthesis Laboratories has also been cooperating with Pearson Robotics, another subsidiary of Andromeda Tech, in order to allow SPECTRA to control and enhance the performance of the household robotics produced by Pearson.
