Merida Vala, born on 11.XI.1698 in Oudorp, Sankt Ludwigshafen is the highest ranking witch on the island of Murder. Merida was initiated by the Eternal Mistress personally to carry her power onto Micras on 13.XIII.1722 when she approached the Eye wearing the Mark of the Mistress.
Very little is known about the youth of Merida, as she does not like talking about it. It is said however that she was born in or around Oudorp on 11.XI.1698 and that she was abandoned by her Nazarene parents when she was in puberty. However, her name cannot be found in the official citizens register of Oudorp from that date, nor were the births of any girls recorded at that date. Through visa free travel under Xaiville Convention treaty stipulations, Merida was able to leave Sankt Ludwigshafen and ended up in the South Sea Islands, where she was adopted by witches and druids studying the old religion. In 1722 she joined Razzie Waldfürcht on the expedition to the island of Murder, her knowledge of the ancient religion helped the group to reach the Eternal Mistress in the Underworld.
