The national anthem of Batavia (Batavian: Staatshymne) is a hymn of praise on the Batavian land. The melody is in the manner of “Land of Hope and Glory”. The lyrics are as follows:

Batavian Translated in Common Tongue

O prachtig Batavië
Kroon der natiën
Uw bergen en dalen
Mooier kan het niet zijn
Uw rivier’ en beken
Schoon en fris zijn zij
Burgers wees er trots op
Uw land is zo schoon
Burgers wees er trots op
Uw land Batavië!

O beautiful Batavia
Crown of the nations
Your mountains and valleys
It can't be more beautiful
Your rivers and streams
They are clean and fresh
Citizens be proud of it
Your country is so clean
Citizens be proud of it
Your country Batavia!

An alternative anthem, which was introduced during the Fourth Kingdom, was the song "Risen from Ruins" (Batavian: Oprijzen uit de ruïnen). In addition, other songs have been used for parts of Batavia, read more about these songs.
