The Royal High Council of Genealogy and Heraldry is an agency of the government of Kurum Ash-Sharqia. It was founded in 1733 AN with the aim of keeping track of lines of descent and kinship of both noble and civilian families.
The Royal High Council was founded on the initiative of the House of de la Gardie of Ochterburg and the House of Anlaq. The bill for this purpose received a negative advice from the Islamic Diwan because it was limited to noble families. The bill was therefore adapted to also keep track of the genealogies of civilian families.
The Register of Filiation is public en freely accessible.
