The 2022 Krasno Shield was the 4th Krasno Shield, an annual football match played between the winners of the 2021 Krasnovlac Elite League and the 2021 Rhict Cup. Since Belaov Treble won both the league and the cup, they played the runners up of the 2021 Krasnovlac Elite League, Lorat Ultras, as their opponents. The game was played on 5 June 2022 in Kyrtshuosci Attack Stage in Kyrtshuosci, Toshira, with Belaov Treble beating Lorat Ultras 3-2.

Kyrtshuosci Hanbei were the defending champions as winners of the 2021 Krasno Shield, but did not qualify for this edition as they failed to win either the Krasnovlac Elite League or Rhict Cup. The match was televised live on KN Sports.

Background

In the 2021-22 season, Belaov Treble and Lorat Ultras were part of a heated title race up until the final matchday. Despite Lorat Ultras claiming four points out of a possible six by drawing and beating Belaov Treble and only losing once, they lost the league title to their title rivals on the last matchday as Belaov Treble beat Xaxe United 3-0 where as the latter drew with Kyrtshuosci Hanbei.

Both teams also met in December for the 2021 Rhict Cup final which Belaov Treble also won with goals coming from Canon Utachi and Rickos Tyskiryua. Kins Trieak scored a consolation goal for Lorat Ultras which proved meaningless.

Match

Summary

Belaov Treble nearly took the lead in sixteen minutes after Kennedy Sho-bela's shot was blocked by Metik Heins's hand but goalkeeper Kanou Garou denied Ethans Lorde from the spot to keep the scores level. Belaov Treble then took the lead in thirty-four minutes after Jordan Yewsmikel stole the ball off Korin Maxchel-Lorat and passed it to Mickey Mik who returned the ball back and received it again after a well timed run to slot the ball past Garou's right. After De'Mos Kushirda's tackle on Canon Utachi, the latter started an argument with G-Dru Aloretchur which escalated into a brawl, focring referee Tiaosk Nak-hosa to book the both of them, Aloretchu argued with Nak-hosa about the decision leading to a second yellow for dissent, forcing Lorat Ultras down to ten men. The Treble kicked off the second half with an immediate goal when Rickos Tyskiryua outran his man and crossed the ball into the box for Ethans Lorde to head it past Garou. The Treble nearly scored a third in the fifty-fifth minute through Han Wenshu but had their goal chalked off for offside. Lorat Ultras then grabbed a goal back through substitutes Erlio Dhandl and Ronld Sa-Miszt with the former dragging Forde Lokman out of position and squaring it to the latter to tap it in past Yech Reich-kyrt. Belaov Treble had a man sent off too shortly after when Tyskiryua elbowed Kushirda during a corner. Lorat Ultras equalized through Korshawl Maxchel-Lorat after they won a free kick thanks to Forde Lokman's tackle. Belaov Treble were deemd winners however when substitue Han Wenlei's pass was deflected into the Lorat Ultras' net by Heins. Goalkeeper Garou then went down due to a groin injury but due to Lorat Ultras using all their substitutes, Korshawl had to step in goal and even made a save in the last minute of the game.

Post-match

Korshawl Maxchel-Lorat who was both stand-in captain and goalkeeper after De'Mos Kushirda and Kanou Goura both went off due to injury, spoke to KN Sports Radio about the intensity of the match: "We (Lorat Ultras) came into the match knowing how difficult of a task it was to play Belaov Treble, especially since we got two trophies taken away from us by them. We came here to win and unfortunately that didn't happen but we are proud of how we fought until the end. Everyone played well and we're ready for the new season ahead." Man of the match, Jordan Yewsmikel had an emotional interview as he revealed that the Krasno Shield was the last match and trophy he'd be involved in as he confirms his departure from Belaov Treble after nine years of service: "This win is for the fans as usual. I'm very proud and emotional of how we played especially since things got heated at times This will be my last match for the club and I'm happy for everyone and how we performed. I hope we keep this up for the upcoming season even when I'm gone."
