The Alterian Federation (also known as the Kingdom of Alteria and Nation of Alteria at various stages throughout its history) was a micronation founded in 1998 as a seccessionist project which eventually became an internet micronation in May 2000. It was one of the founding members of the Grand Commonwealth but was expelled from the organisation in March 2006 due to inactivity, and consequently removed from Micras.
