Chop Chop Shops are a term used by law enforcement, and more recently in the chicha press in Nouvelle Alexandrie, to describe a gruesome criminal trend that emerged in the region of New Luthoria in 1749 AN.[1] The phenomenon involves organized gangs, allegedly with ties to Dromosker or Askerr-descended groups, kidnapping tourists and business travelers to extract their banking credentials through torture before disposing of their victims. Federal investigators discovered several underground sites equipped with crude surgical tools, power equipment, and digital devices used to drain accounts and conceal evidence.
The crimes have shocked Nouvelle Alexandrie, leading to widespread panic and curfews across New Luthoria. A common urban legend has gained significant traction on social media and in the chicha press links the disappearances to street vendors selling unregulated “bush meat.” [2] The Federal Gendarmerie has launched a major crackdown known as Operation Hot Iron, which remains ongoing.
