The Fono le Lusa (Lucerne Council) is the autonomous governing body for Lucerne. The Council also elects two members to sit in the Mercury Parliament. Elections to the Council take place every four years, one year before the election to the Mercury Parliament.
The Council is currently led by the Faatasi le Nuu (Island Party).
