Banh Nao Dong Nai (abbreviated BNDN), formerly and commonly known as Xai Gan, is the most populous city in Banh Nam with a population of around 9 million in 2023. The city is situated in the central region of Banh Nam, surrounded by multiple rivers.
The city is known for its vibrant nightlife, well-preserved Yewlang-Columbo-styled architecture and multiple city landmarks such as its museums and galleries which attract tourists every year.
Culture
The city's culture is heavily influenced by the Yewlang culture, thus resulting in the name being named after the Yewlang word Dong Zhi (同志) which meant comrades and when mixed with the Banhnamese language became Nao Dong Nai, meaning the city is named in memory of Banhnamese comrades who died defending the nation from foreign forces.
Yewlang architecture also can be seen in every corner of the city due to the city being used as a vice-capital and mainly Yewlang government buildings were settled in the city.
Sports
The city hosts multiple sports teams such as B League 1 team Banh Nao Dong Nai FC which plays in the Mang Pho Stadium in District 10. The city also has a basketball representative, being the Banh Nao Dong Nai Basketball Club.
