Charleston Entertainment is a multimedia company founded and located in Kingsrise.
The company was founded by Henry Charleston in 1647. In the beginning the then small company produced serialised audio dramas that premiered on various small radio stations.
While mosts of the Radio dramas where intended for younger audiences, they found widespread popularity with the factory workers of Kingsrise. The imaginative stories offered a mental outlet for the workers preforming repetitive tasks.
The dramas were so successful that by 1651 many of the larger factories had started sponsoring Charleston Entertainment as the radio dramas seemed to boost the workers productivity.
By 1655 the company started branching out into the field of comic books and licencing their characters and stories to toy companies.
By 1657 Charleston Entertainment entered the movie industry producing a collection of highly dramatized and somewhat inaccurate historical movies.
Since then Charleston Entertainment has continued to know great success. Their colourful and imaginative stories combined with effective advertisement campaigns made sure that every person in Batavia had fond memories of the company and their works. Because of this the company its more brutal business practices often get overlook.
In the decades since its founding Charleston Entertainment has absorbed dozens of smaller media companies into itself.
