History
The team entered the 'C' Conference of the 2018 MHL World Championships and finished 3rd in their group, narrowly missing out on promotion by a single point. They were given a second chance for promotion, however, following the resignation of the Vyktory national ice hockey team from the 'B' Conference, winning a play-off against Freeland to qualify. The team qualified successfully for the inaugural ice hockey tournament at the 2018 Micras Games however failed to advance from their group.
After a successful bid, the Confederate States of Floria known as the Florian Republic at the time hosted the 'A' and 'B' Conferences of the 2019 MHL World Championships. The team finished 2nd in the 'B' Conference and were eventually knocked out by Senya in the quarter-finals, giving them an 8th-place finish. Following the tournament, Leon Burton stepped down as head coach and was demoted to assistant coach. He was replaced by Seth Peters but Peters was replaced by Ben Tippet of Dragonmoor Storm after Peter's withdrew from the post as he took the Florian Eura head coach vacancy instead.
On the 24th May 2020, Floria won the 2020 MHL World Championships beating Senya 5–3 in the final. This was their first World Championship win at any level and the team became the first promoted nation to win the tournament at their first attempt.

Rivalries
Florian fans consider Mercury as their main rivals and the rivalry is considered the most heated on Micras as both share ice hockey as their national sport. It is common to see more than one fight and numerous penalties in a match between the two teams. The Confederate States of Floria is considered the most 'hated' and feared team in the world due to its infamous aggressive and high paced style of hockey and that has created much smaller rivalries especially when Floria were in the lower conferences of the MHL World Championships.
