Saladin was the last president of the Republic of the Netherlands. It was his party, the Islamic Revolutionary Party that reformed the republic into the Islamic Internet Republic on 28 June 2010. Saladin was the first and last Sadr of this republic.
Due to the deadlock that resulted from the elections of June 2011, Saladin announced to go into exile on 4 July 2011. This marked the end of the IIR.
