Marco Max Zimmer, the 3rd Prime Minister of the Republic of Alduria, was assassinated on 13.XII.1684 AN in Valenciana, Alduria, while visiting a newly built hospital maintained by the Church of Alexandria, the Hospital of Our Lady of Santa Catalina.
Zimmer was accompanied by his Press Secretary, Jean Marmont, the Secretary of Interior, Antonio Valverde, Mother Superior John Mary, SS.CC. While touring the new emergency room of the hospital, the Prime Minister was shot three times while he exited a new ambulance by Frederique Bonchamps, an unemployed man from the city of Norvind. Jean Marmont was also seriously wounded in the attack.
After nearby police subdued the assailant, Bonchamps was immediately arrested and sent to the Valenciana City Jail under local and national law enforcement escort. Marmont and Zimmer were treated at the hospital they were visiting.
