The Path of the Star, also known as the Temple of the Star, is an esoteric religious movement that has a significant following in the Verionian Empire, as well as Elwynn and Shireroth. The Path of the Star is closely related to Verionist philosophy and traces its origins in Elfinshi and Cimmerian mythology, as well as the systematically developped principles of Verionism from the 17th century. The Path of the Star is syncretic and perennialist in nature. The Temple of the Star, the closest to what would be a central authority, formally describes the Path of the Star as a "religious tradition, distilling the ancient truths that have been with mankind from the dawn of time, and carried forward by blessed prophets such as the First Elu Verion, the Cimmerian Wise and the Seers through the Veil".

Pantheon

The Pantheon of the Path of the Star are paired

The Path of the Star recognises a Pantheon of eight gods. The number eight is a recurring and sacred number in the religion. The gods of the Pantheon of the Star appear in pairs, with two gods for every direction of the Star. These directions are named after the fundamental elements in the Verionian tradition: Ice, Fire, Stone and Iron. The Pantheon represents balance, which is further indicated by the gender of the gods, with four being female and four male.
