Talenore State Proclamations

The Talenore State Proclamations, signed on 23.V.1674, is a document issued to invest the new Constitution of Talenore with legal authority. The content of the constitution was drafted by a transitional council set up by Mahmood Sadri Maleki following his coup d'etat earlier that month.

Proclamation of a New Constitution for Talenore. Having reviewed the constitutional document provided by the Transitional Council for Our consideration and judging it lawful and appropriate for the establishment of law and order within the State of Talenore, We hereby decree that: (1) the document is hereby vested with Our authority to serve as the fundamental law of the State of Talenore; (2) the document is hereafter named The Constitution of Talenore; (3) The Constitution of Talenore is considered law upon the signing of this decree. Proclamation of appointment of a Regent. In recognition of the need for a Regent until such time as We have reached the age of majority, as stipulated by the Constitution of Talenore, Article III, Section 4, and Having received an appropriately-vetted nominee from the Governor General, in accordance with the Constitution of Talenore, Article III, Section 5, We hereby decree that: The Speaker of the National Assembly, Leila Merhaban, is hereby appointed and directed to serve as Regent until We reach the age of Eighteen Years, or otherwise in accordance with the Constitution.
