Template:Infobox football tournament
The Royal Shield (also known as the Devon Shield for sponsorship reasons) is a pair of annual international Template:Wpl competitions contested between Centralya, Coria, Etourney, the Florian Republic, Hoenn, Itavr, Mancunia, and Vyktory. It is organized by the Royal Shield Football Association, a partnership between the participating countries' Template:Wpl.
The format is to be a 4 team double elimination bracket with the winner facing off against the previous winners in the Grand Final. The first men's tournament will be held in Vyktory this September, and the first women's tournament in October.
As for the logo, it was designed by Ikamoto Design, a company from Cianwood, Hoenn. The official symbolism is that each pentagon in the logo (and each arm of the star) represents one of the participating countries, while the ten sides of the shield represent their men's and women's teams.
The game ball is the Template:Wpl.
