Dove Mountains

The Dove Mountains are known for being rocky and craggy and imposing on first sight.

The Dove Mountains are an imposing series of mountains extending to the northwest of Patras for approximately 1230 miles (1979km) and all the way to the sea as well. The Dove Mountains are located on the planet of Banas which is a possession of Sayaffallah and the severity of the rocky mountains height and the way in which it rockets into the sky with many of its peaks means that ecosystems here are very resilient and able to survive a great deal of abuse.

The Dove Mountains highest peak is that of Starnich which reaches a staggering 6339ft (1932 metres) making it one of the largest in the chain of mountains in Banas. The rocky peaks are accentuated by the almost constant rainy and misty weather that exists within the vast amounts of its territory providing a wet environment for the plants, vegetation and many animals that live here. The most common animal one is to encounter is the big horn sheep and the plains buffalo both of which exist in this ecosystem. While the sheep prefer the higher alpine elevations the buffalo prefer the lower plains surrounding the mountains and the craggy valleys in which rich vegetation grows so frequently.

The Dove Mountains provide a rich environment for the general public to enjoy with frequent trips by tourists and locals alike to enjoy the wide variety of white water rafting, hang gliding and free climbing that can be done within the expanse of the the Dove Mountains. Many valleys exist as well in between rocky peaks and many of these are vast stretches of rocks and sparse vegetation here and there and roaring rivers transporting melted glacial ice down to the sea where it is deposited.
