Ignacio Alfonso Vaquero, is a Nouvelle Alexandrie philosopher and public speaker. He is best remembered as one of the leading figures of the Crisis Generation literary tradition, especially for his involvement in the Spring Crisis of 1739. He wrote the famous In Defence of Democracy and Liberty alongside Lucas de Barceló, a series of essays that has since been compared in scope and impact to the Essays on Liberty by Gustierrez, Acaran, and Patrallez.
He has been a lifelong member of the Democratic Socialist Party. He was deeply impacted by the events of the Spring Crisis of 1739.
