Cong An Dien Noi Football Club or Dien Noi Police Football Club is a Banhnamese professional football club that competes in the B League 1. The club plays its games in the My Tinh Stadium in Dien Noi.
History
Cong An Dien Noi was founded by the Dien Noi Public Security Force in 1995 by General Secretary Ngan Phan Pho as he wanted to create a represenatitve team of the capital division. The team was originally founded as Doi tuyen bong da tinh Dien Noi (Dien Noi Provice Football Team) and named Ngan Phan Pho as the club president and chairman. The team played in the then Banhnamese 1st League and won multiple championships under manager Anh Tu Buyen's leadership. The province football team was known for their dirty style of play and would commonly foul and injury opposition players. The team also was known to be inconsistent as the commonly lost to weaker sides and often gave the top teams in the league a hard time. Multiple Banhamese legends came out from the team's youth academy, of which include Nguyen Dai Tham, Ngo Chinh Su, Paek Sung Tu and infamously the current Banhnamese FA president Vo Thai Tan. The team constantly rivaled Cong An Mang Mai due to both teams having a political background and playing a very violent way of football.
The province football team was relegated into the Banhnamese 3rd League by 2008 and pushed for a clubwide reform with the Dien Noi Police Force stepping in and wanting a say in the club's direction as the licensing of the club remained in government hands. The Minister of the Dien Noi Police Force would sign an agreement to allow for the Dien Noi Police to take over the club. Although the club was semi-professional at the time, multiple Banhnamese national team players volunteered to play for the club in a push for the club to return to the top flight. Dien Noi Provice Football Team would make history by returning to the Banhnamese 1st League in 2014 but was sadly relegated the following season, making the police force rename the team into Cong An Dien Noi (Dien Noi Police Force Football Club) to better represent the club. Although named after the police force, only a few police officers actually participate in the club's executive positions and only 2 police officers were ever registered as players. The team would rejoin the newly formed B League 1 in 2023.
