The Second Division Championship (often referred to as Hamland Second Division) is the second-highest division overall in the Hammish football league system after the Hammish Premier League.
The Second Division Championship was introduced for the 2010, introducing four Taeland teams and two Safiria ones. After the dissapearence of Safiria and the rebirth of Passas under Hammish rule, the two Safirian teams were replaced by two Passassian teams.
At the end of the season, the Champion is promoted to the Hammish Premier League, and the top four teams classified after the Champion earn the chance to play a Play-Offs to define two teams to face Hammish Premier League teams that finished in the 10th and 11th positions, with the possibility to earn the promotion as well.
For 2011 Season there were some changes introduced. There will be two Champions, one for the first part of the year (10 games) and one for the second. They will face each other to grant promotion to the Premier League. The losing team will face the 11th of the Premier League. The other team to play the Play-Off for promotion will be the winner of the game between the two runners up. If one of the teams involved would be one of the Champions, the third one in that season will fill that place.
For the 2012 there will be an expansion from six teams to eight. Also, the last team will be relegated to the Regional League.
