New Batavia was represented at Microvision 2021 by BLØF feat. Geike Arnaert, with the song "Zoutelande".
Description
The song is a duet of a Dutch and a Flemish artist: BLØF and Geike Arnaert. From the outset, Nieuw Batavia has been a Dutch-Flemish project and a proponent of Dutch-Flemish cooperation. Many national symbols refer to this Dutch-Flemish idea. The song was a big hit in 2017-2018 and was number one in the charts for several weeks in both the Netherlands and Flanders.
