The MBF World Cup is the highest level of international basketball competition organised by the MBF, the governing body of the sport on Micras.
The tournament is played every two years, with 15 teams competing. The first tournament was held in the August of 2018 in Birgeshir.
Qualification
Each of the four MBF confederations organise qualification rounds in order to narrow-down their affiliated nations to fit the quota that each confederation has received of places at the finals. The tournament's host(s) and the previous year's winning nation are awarded automatic places at that year's championships.
