The Sani people is a south Benacian people primarily found in Sanama and Talenore. The population in Talenore is in decline due to emigration to Sanama. The Sanis are closely related to the Ama people found in Sanama. The main differences are religious and partly cultural, while the lingustic differences are mostly perceived. The Sanis speak primarily the Sani language, with a small minority in Sanama having switched to the Istvanistani language during colonial rule.
