Vuurtoren Bier is a prominent brewery located in Sanpantul, founded in 1686 AN by Julian Knobben, a member of the Line of Simons. Operating under the Sanpanese royal license, the brewery continues to produce its signature beers in Sukyugawa, a city from Sukyugawa region. Vuurtoren remains one of the few entities keeping the island's unique beer culture alive. They are rival companies with Ukushu Pilsen.

Historically, beer culture was not native to Sanpantul and was introduced through colonial influence. The local population, traditionally unfamiliar with beer brewing and consumption, gradually adopted it thanks to early colonial settlements. Vuurtoren Bier played a foundational role in this transformation, becoming a model for future breweries on the island.

The company is currently engaged in fierce competition with Sapporo Pilsen, another major player in the regional beer industry. Despite the rivalry, Vuurtoren maintains a strong identity rooted in tradition, combining Batavian brewing heritage with Sanpanese precision.

Among its various products, Vuurtoren is especially known for its innovative use of local ingredients. Notably, it recently launched a buckwheat-based beer under the brand name “Knobben Gold”, in homage to its founder. Its chubby bottle makes it even easier to recognize.
