The Barentszian Reformed Church is a Nazarene denomination, that is derived from the Ludwiggian Reformed Church. The church was established in 1705 after missionaries from Sankt Ludwigshafen reached the city of Sint Barentsz through the trading network of the United North Apollonian Company and spread the gospel. The Ludwiggian missionaries were successful in part because they too came from a nation that was previously predominantly Siseranist. Following the independence of Sint Barentsz, which was declared in V.1707 the Barentszian state promoted the Barentszian Reformed Church as a native church, part of the national identity. At the start of 1708, all inhabitants of the island had been baptised into the church, with various degrees of reluctance.
The Ludwiggian Reformed Church and the Barentszian Reformed Church are in full communion.
