The Cynulliad Cenedlaethol election of 1752 elected Calbion's unicameral assembly. Following the massive political turmoil after the death of Prince Deiniol and the Alwyn Betrayal, Prince Jack III and the incumbent Governor-General Hugo Lewis-Dreicdyn formed a political alliance which saw the suspension of elections for the Cynulliad Cenedlaethol, with the assembly elected in 1729 sitting for a period of 23 AN years. The lenght of the period between elections beat the previous 19-year record set following the Calbain Troubles.
Lewis-Dreicdyn resigned from his post in 1729 citing poor health, a move that eventually triggered the Nationalist-Realist deal that upheld the postponing of elections. In early 1752, the Prince of the Calbain dissolved the Assembly, paving the way for new elections which resulted in no overall majority, with massive gains for the Radical Faction.
Results
The elections resulted in a hung assembly with no overall majority for any political group. Following a confidence-and-supply arrangement with the Regionalist faction, Agnus Cavendish became the first Governor-General from the Radicals (including the United Workers), and the first elected Governor-General not from the Nationalist or Realist factions since William Nelson.
