View of the palace.

The Darbar Palace of Ghawlama, built between 1740 AN and 1748 AN in a Neo-Babkhan and Çakari style, served as the seat of government for Lontinien.

Built with red sandstone imported from Al-Khadra, the palace, enclosed within a stone curtain wall, consisted of a central darbar banqueting hall and four courtyards whose wings housed drawing rooms, smoking rooms, guest suites, several grand halls, lounges, cupolas, pavilions, including a dining room which could seat 400 diners.

The number of suites were reserved to the Barlas-Osman Marital Community established by Erdenechuluun in 1750 AN.

As of 1751 AN, the Custodian of the Palace was Narantuya.

Cantonments adjacent to the palace complex house barracks for the Keshik as well as offices for the public administration and apartments for figures favoured by the regime.
