The Social Liberal Party is a centrist and liberal party in the Commonwealth of Hamland. It was founded in 2013 by Lord Lewis and succeeded several other parties founded by him which were generally Social Democratic in nature. The SLP differs because of its ideology sitting mainly in liberalism in international relations and in economics.

The Party was one of the few non-HNP parties to win a General Election in Hamland alongside the PIP. Towards the end of 2013 the two main governing parties were the PIP and the SLP, although they would always form a coalition government together at this time.

The Liberal Party takes a Liberal Interventionist approach to International Relations which places focus on soft power, human rights, multi-lateralism and economic growth. This can be seen by the Party's support for the Area of Freedom and Security Policy and the country's active Foreign Office. The Party has been notably supportive of intervention in Jingdao and has been responsible for building memorials to the Cold War against Ocia. At the same time it has attempted to build links with other Liberal Democracies and supports the Commonwealth of Hamland's membership of the Council of Free Nations with Alexandria and Stormark.

In Economics the party is also notably liberal supporting low taxes, government intervention and increased private ownership. At the same time the party aims for wealth to be equitable through the promotion of grants for newer and poorer citizens and taxes on the wealthiest if needed.

The party mainly gets its support from smaller regions of the Commonwealth and so often struggles in elections due to the large voter bases in Passas and Hamland.
