Mesoun Crisis
The city was at the epicentre of the Mesoun Crisis being the first and largest city held by Mesoun Republican League separatists during the conflict. Florian police offered no resistance at the start of the conflict and the city fell temporarily to the insurgents who eventually declared Mesoun an independent nation, this sparked the conflict after the assasination of the City’s founder and President Isabelle Chopin.
During the conflict the city was assaulted heavily by shelling with high numbers of civilian casualties. The city was eventually taken back into Florian control with the Florian right wing populist Democratic Conservative Party becoming the governing party in the city council.
